Morgan Howard

FOUNDER

I am a 32 year old mother of two little boys and wife to my high school sweet heart. I launched  KCMO Fitness on August 12, 2016 while I was still working full time. On November 18th, that same year I ended my 9-5 and became 100% self employed working well over 50 hours a week doing what I truly love.

 

I have been through the wonderful fitness journey myself, I have struggled and I was solicited by every magic pill, wrap, drink, shake, and magical supplement out there. THEY DON'T WORK! There is no such thing as a "quick fix"! Nothing and let me tell you nothing good in life or at least worth having comes easy. Being healthy and fit takes work, it takes hard work and dedication. After I had my first son I was 198lb that’s 74lb heavier than I was pre-baby. I was unhappy, I struggled with postpartum depression, I had no motivation, and I was full of excuses. Some of them may sound familiar... I don't have time, I have kids, I have tried everything, I can't do it, nothing works, I don't know what to eat, this is too hard, and many other excuses I came up with to make myself feel better. One day I dropped all my excuses, stopped feeling sorry for myself and I decided that I was going to change my life. I wanted better for myself and for my family. Heck lets be honest I wanted to fit in my jeans again. I wanted to look in the mirror and think DAMN GIRL, you look good. I wanted to be confident in my skin (stretch marks and all).

 

Guess what? I did just that! My progress was so inspiring not only to myself, but many others. I started to get Facebook messages, emails, phone calls, and text from friends, family, and acquaintances giving me praise and asking for help. From there I started giving my advice, helping with meal planning and workouts. I got my certification and started teaching a boot camp, while in the mix of things I got pregnant with my second son. I once again gained 80lbs, but this time I lost it all and then some in 20 weeks!!! I had some struggles along the way, but hey we all do and that’s okay as long as you get back up on that horse.

 

Point is, I and every client I have trained has had success with simply changing their diet, filling their bodies with whole real healthy foods and adding effective training to the mix. I know what it's like to live a busy life being a mom, a wife, business owner, and dealing with the joys of life. I want to be your motivation, I want to help you achieve your goals and be the best version of you!

My love for fitness began after I had my 3rd child and I joined KCMO FITNESS, which resulted in me losing over 35 pounds. I fell in love with the happiness and confidence exercising gave me and I wanted the chance to give that to others. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 3 children, as well as cleaning and shopping. My biggest motivator in fitness is seeing those results. Seeing the inches melt away and those defined muscles coming in is what keeps me motivated and pushing myself farther. I love to have fun with my clients but also push them to achieve their goals in fitness and everyday happiness and wellness. I feel blessed to be on the KCMO FITNESS team and I’m excited to help people live a healthier and happier life!

You can’t depend on motivation, because it won’t always be there. When it is, that’s when it’s easy. When it’s hard that’s when your discipline has to kick in.
